Anju Seth, the first woman director of IIM Kolkata has resigned from her post. He submitted his resignation to the Prime Minister’s Office. Anju Seth has resigned due to a confrontation with the Board of Governors a year before his tenure.
It is being told that the Board of Governors of IIM Kolkata had reduced the rights of female director Anju Seth, due to which she was angry.
Anju Seth’s confrontation with the Board of Governors was going on for the last several days. He accused the chairman of the board, Shri Kulkarni, of limiting his rights. Anju Seth also wrote a letter to the Ministry of Education regarding this.
In the midst of this controversy, Anju Seth went on medical leave and after that he resigned as the director of IIM Kolkata.
Anju Seth complained to the Ministry of Education
Anju Seth wrote a letter to the Ministry of Education regarding a confrontation with the Board of Governors of IIM Kolkata. In this, Anju Seth had spoken on Chairman Srikrishna Kulkarni for misusing his rights, as well as complaining about interfering in his work.
After receiving the letter of IIM Kolkata Director Anju Seth, the Ministry of Education was keeping a close watch on the matter. However, the Ministry of Education did not interfere in this, as the Ministry of Education wants the autonomy and privacy of institutions like IIM to remain.
Board of Governors angry with Anju Seth
After a letter written to the Ministry of Education, IIM Kolkata passed a resolution against Anju Seth. According to the Board of Governors, Director Anju Seth has not cooperated with the faculty and has misbehaved by writing a letter to the government. The board says that through false statements, Anju Seth tried to create confusion between the education ministry and the board.
