India to witness the launch of the Jeep Wrangler facelift on April 22

Jeep Wrangler Facelift to Be Launched in India on April 22

Jeep India is set to introduce the updated Wrangler off-roader to the Indian market on April 22, 2024. The global debut of the Jeep Wrangler facelift happened nearly a year ago, and the SUV is now making its way to India with significant upgrades to its design and features.

The facelifted Jeep Wrangler will feature an all-black look with a slimmer trademark seven-slat grille, new alloy wheels, different wheel sizes, and various roof options available globally. The Indian market can expect the arrival of soft top and hard top variants as well.

The cabin of the Wrangler facelift will see subtle changes, including a redesigned dashboard layout with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and repositioned AC vents, standard across all trims. Additionally, the SUV will come with Jeep’s latest Uconnect 5 user interface and the new Trails Offroad guide with 62 off-road trails integrated into the system.

Powering the Jeep Wrangler facelift in India will be a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 266 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV will also feature the Jeep Selec-Trac full-time Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) system, with no diesel engine option available for the Indian market.

Currently available in Unlimited and Rubicon variants, the facelifted Wrangler is expected to continue with the same lineup. The pricing for the existing models falls between ₹62.65 lakh and ₹66.65 lakh (ex-showroom), and the new version is likely to come at a slight premium. The Jeep Wrangler will compete against the Land Rover Defender in the luxury off-road segment.
