India U-23 Men’s National Team Gears up for Friendly Match against Malaysian U23

New Delhi, March 21 (IANS) Composure will be vital as the India U-23 men’s national team prepares for a friendly match against Malaysian U23 in Kuala Lumpur. The team arrived in the Malaysian capital on Wednesday night and is all set to face the hosts on Friday at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium.

Head coach Naushad Moosa expressed confidence in the team’s adaptability, stating, “The players have adapted really well to the playing style that we want to implement and expect them to execute on the pitch. It’s very important that we play as a team and stay composed.”

Moosa acknowledged the challenge of facing a technical opponent, emphasizing, “We are playing an opponent who is very good and plays an attacking brand of football. They have technical players who are very fast. We’re well aware that it’s not going to be an easy game.”

Goalkeeper Prabhsukhan Singh Gill noted Malaysia’s advantage in familiarity with the conditions but expressed the team’s determination to give their best, stating, “Everyone wants to give their best for the country. Of course, the advantage is with Malaysia, but we will try our best to get the win against them.”
