International Tiger Day 2021 Theme, History, Significance, Importance, Activities, Facts and More: Activities like industrial production, urbanization and harvesting natural resources are causing Habitat destruction for wild animals. Because of this, every year between 10,000 and 100,000 species are becoming extinct. Tiger, which is also known as our national animal is also facing Habitat destruction problem, and their species are disappearing. According to a Report of WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) recent report, there are only 3890 tigers are remaining in the wilds, all around the world. 2,967 of them are only in India.

3700 single-horned Rhinos, 27,312 Elephants, 9,265 Leopards, and 674 Asiatic lions are also residents in India. To create awareness about tiger conservation, every year International Tiger Day is observed on 29 July. The day is also known as Global Tiger Day.
