Karan Johar announces biopic, will show courtroom drama against British Rule on screen

Karan Johar, one of the biggest filmmakers of Bollywood, has announced his next production film on Tuesday. This film is a courtroom drama and is a biopic of C. Sankaran Nair. The name of this film is ‘The Untold Story of C. Sankaran Nair’. C Sankaran Nair fought in court against the British Rule over the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

Karan Johar has shared a statement about this through his social media account. Describing the film on Instagram, he said, “Excited and honored to bring the untold story of C Sankaran Nair. This film will be directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. Stay tuned for more details.”

He wrote in one of the posters, “The film unveils the legendary court battle in which Shankaran Nair fought against the British Rule to uncover the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Shankaran Nair’s bravery has spread across the country. Ignite the freedom struggle and gave birth to a will of power to fight for the truth.”

The film is a biopic of C Sankaran Nair. Inspired by real life events. The film is based on the book “The Case That Shook the Empire”. The book has been written by Shankaran Nair’s great-grandson Raghu Palat and his wife Pushpa Palat.
