Karnataka Bandh on 31st December 2021: CM Bommai, Araga Jnanendra, Praveen Shetty appeals Pro-Kannada Organizations to postpone the Bandh call

Karnataka Bandh on 31st December 2021: Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai, Minister for Home Affairs Araga Jnanendra and KRV president Praveen Shetty have appealed to the Pro-Kannada organizations to postpone the Karnataka bandh which was called by various pro-Kannada organizations on December 31.

Let us tell you, In Karnataka, various Karnataka organizations have decided to protest to oppose the Maharashtra Integration Council (MES) activists in Belgaum.

Karnataka CM Bommai said in the press conference on Wednesday- “I request them to drop the Karnataka bandh call. Life is now returning to normalcy after the severe Covid-19 situation, while covid cases are also again increasing. We welcome them to pursue any other form of pressure.”

CM Bommai assured the Pro-Kannada Organizations that actions are already being taken against anti-Kannada persons. “We will legally verify the demand for a ban on MES” – he added.

Meanwhile, Minister for Home Affairs, Araga Jnanendra stated – They should re-think again on their decision of the Karnataka Band on 31st December 2021.

“As we all know, since the last two years business activities have come to a complete standstill, this Karnataka Bandh on 31st December 2021 will cause more trouble to the people” – he added.

Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) President Praveen Shetty, who earlier supported the bandh call has also now came in support of Bandh postponement. He wrote an open letter on Wednesday arguing for postponing the strike, as businesses battered by the pandemic hoped to make some recovery on New Year’s Eve. “We will try to convince Vatal Nagaraj to restrategise,”.
