Noida schools from Classes 1-8 to remain closed on Friday due to heavy rain

With the ongoing heavy rainfall, Noida authorities have decided to shut down schools from Classes 1 to 8 today. All the govt, as well as private schools, will remain closed in Noida and Greater Noida. 

The latest notification was sent to the press after the weather department alerts the officials regarding the heavy rain in the region. issued after the weather department issued an alert due to rains in the region. Following this, District Magistrate Suhas L Yathraj issued an immediate order to close all schools in the area for the safety of kids as stated by District School Inspector Dharamveer Singh said.

“On September 23, all schools from class 1 to 8 in the district would remain closed,” Dharamveer Singh said, according to an official statement issued on Thursday night. On Thursday, various parts of Uttar Pradesh along with the national capital region (NCR), including Gautam Buddh Nagar, saw heavy rainfall all day long and last week.

As per reports, a few places in the state also reported a number of deaths and loss of property due to the heavy rain.

In the meantime, the Gurgaon district administration also advised offices and employees to work from home rather than going to the office on Friday in order to avoid traffic congestion and their safety, heavy flow from drains due to rainfall in the city.

The IMD also issued an orange alert, advising the public to follow proper instructions and avoidance from heavy rain. Due to rainfall, people experience less visibility on the road and traffic and vulnerable structures. Please note that try to avoid going out along with helping stray dogs to give them shelter so that they have to place to keep them safe and warm from heavy rain.
