This has come to the fore in the research of experts at the Pune National Institute of Virology. In the year 2020, the case of Nipah was first reported in the cave of Mahabaleshwar (Satara). Earlier, the case of Nipah had also come up in Kerala. At that time 18 people died of Nipah in Kerala.

Nipah virus is considered very dangerous. There is no medicine available for it yet. This is the reason that the death due to this virus is more than 65 percent. On the other hand, the recovery rate from Corona is more than 90 percent. In such a situation, it is being considered more dangerous than Corona.

Symptoms of Nipah: The common symptoms are fever, headache, fainting, etc. In some cases, a person may experience a feeling of something stuck in the throat, abdominal pain, vomiting, tiredness and blurred vision.
How to avoid: Cut fruits found in the market or fruits lying in the forests, half-eaten fruits, etc. should not be consumed. It is believed that the Nipah virus spreads rapidly through micro-organisms that sit on fruits.
