Not all families get to take their children back to the house with them right after they are born. Due to various health issues that necessitate specialist care, some babies spend more time in the hospital. When these parents learn that their baby would need to spend extra duration in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), they are devastated and terrified.

Many parents must bear the agony of leaving their child in the NICU for more than just few months. So it was encouraging when Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared a photo of herself and Nick Jonas with their newborn baby Malti Marie Chopra Jonas in a Mother’s Day message, revealing that their baby is finally home after enduring more than 100 days in the NICU.

In January of this year, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas welcomed the birth of their baby child. The pair, on the other hand, had a difficult time. After spending more than 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit, they brought their baby girl, Malti Marie, back on Mother’s Day weekend.

The couple marked the occasion by posting the munchkin’s first photo on Instagram. Priyanka Chopra is seen cradling Malti Marie on her chest, while Nick Jonas clutches her little hand in the adorable photo. They did, however, use a heart emoji to hide their daughter’s face.

On the occasion of mother’s day, Priyanka did surprise the other parensts who are currently devasted by watching their kids in the unit. But now this is a sight of relief that they took their daughter home, and someday it’ll be the time for the other parents to take their child home with them as well.
