Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed the webinar for effective implementation of the Union Budget provisions in the defense sector. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was also present on this occasion. During this, he said that our government relied on the capabilities of its engineers-scientists and Tejas and today Tejas is flying in the sky gracefully. A few weeks ago, an order of 48 thousand crore rupees has been placed for Tejas.

India’s private sector should learn from DRDO’s experience in indigenous design and development. Rules and regulations should not be hindered and we are quickly improving for the same. The private sector will now be included at the beginning of the projects.

The defense corridors being built in the country today will also help local entrepreneurs, local manufacturing. That is, today we have to see self-sufficiency in our defense sector as the empowerment of both young and young people.

MSMES then form the backbone for the entire manufacturing sector. The reforms being done today are giving more freedom to MSMES, encouraging them to expand.

Apart has also been reserved for domestic procurement in the defense capital budget. I would urge the private sector to come forward in manufacturing as well as in design and development, to bring India’s glory to the world.

This is the positive list which is going to reduce our dependence on foreign countries for our defense needs. This is the positive list, due to which products made in India are guaranteed to be sold in India.

It is a negative list in the official language but it is a positive list in the language of self-sufficiency. This is the positive list on the strength of which our own manufacturing capacity is going to increase. This is the positive list that will create job creation in India.

India has made a list of 100 important defense items related to defense, which we can manufacture only with the help of our local industry. The timeline has been kept for this so that our industry can plan to achieve the capability to meet these needs.

Since 2014, it has been our endeavor that we are moving forward in this sector with transparency, predictability and ease of doing. With de-licensing, de-regulation, export, promotion, foreign investment liberalization, etc., we have taken one step after another in this sector.

India has centuries of experience in manufacturing ammunition and military equipment. Before independence, we had a large number of Ordnance Factories. In both world wars, weapons made in India were sent around the world. But after independence, this system was not strengthened as much as it should have been for many reasons.

For peace the pre-condition is power and for power is the pre-condition potential and for capacity the pre-condition is the right preparation. Where our brave soldiers take training, we see something written that sweat settled in peacetime prevents blood flow during the war. That is, bravery is the pre-condition of peace. Strength is the pre-condition of bravery. The pre-condition of strength is pre-preparedness.

After the budget, the Government of India is discussing with the people of different areas how to implement the budget and how the roadmap is being prepared together for the budget.
