Poonam Pandey is Alive! Whole 'Death' Setup to spread Cervical Cancer Awareness

Poonam Pandey, the “Nasha” actress, who was claimed to passed away on February 1, 2024, Thursday has appeared on her official Instagram account and claimed that she is alive. Her PR management team announced that she died of cervical cancer. However, on Saturday she posted a video on Instagram saying, “I am Alive.” As per media reports, Poonam Pandey’s publicist did not have access to details regarding the “Nasha” actress’s death. Later her team announced that Poonam’s members of the family were “missing in action.”

Poonam Pandey Aims to Spread Cervical Cancer Awareness

On February 3, 2024, Saturday, Poonam went to her official Instagram account, and posted a video where she could be heard saying, “I feel compelled to share something significant with you all – I am here, alive. Cervical Cancer didn’t claim me.” Poonam Pandey could be heard talking about the most common form of cancer in women, Cervical Cancer.

About Cervical Cancer, she added, “It has claimed the lives of thousands of women who stemmed from a lack of knowledge on how to tackle this disease. Unlike some other cancers, Cervical Cancer is entirely preventable. The key lies in the HPV vaccine and early detection tests.”


In India, Cervical cancer is the second most common type of cancer in females. According to WHO’s cancer agency, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), cervical cancer makes up 18 percent of new cancer cases.

The news of Poonam Pandey’s demise came the following day of the presentation of the interim budget by Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Finance Minister. In the Interim budget 2024-25, the Finance Minister announced providing free vaccination to girls aged 9 to 14.

The entire country received shockwaves as the news of Poonam Pandey’s demise broke. Netizens even considered it fake as the “Nasha” actress was last seen well, fit, and fine in Goa in January end, three to four days before the news of her demise broke. Moreover, she was quite active on her social media platforms and gave her views on recent rifts like the Lakshadweep-Maldives controversy, emotions on the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony, and many more.

Media houses claimed that the news about Poonam Pandey’s death of cervical cancer reached them via an email from Nikita Sharma, the actress’s manager. However, the contact number associated with that email came out to be non-existent.
