According to media reports, keeping in mind the corona virus epidemic, more than one lakh students of class 10th and 12th have signed petitions and requested the government to cancel the board examinations in May or to make them online. However, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) have said that adequate arrangements have been made for the safety of the students and all the guidelines of COVID-19 will be followed during the examinations.

Generally, the practical examinations of the board begin in January and written examinations begin in February and end in March. Due to the epidemic, the examinations have been delayed and now these examinations are to be held in May-June.
