Skoda Auto India’s Brand Director, Petr Janeba, expressed, “With ‘Name Your Skoda,’ we want to extend our tradition of involving customers in the naming process. The new SUV will follow the ‘K’ naming convention started with Kushaq and be locally developed, engineered, and manufactured, emphasizing India’s importance for Skoda globally.”
The upcoming Skoda subcompact SUV will be based on the MQB-A0-IN platform shared with the Kushaq and Slavia, promising reasonable ownership costs while retaining global Skoda elements. Priced under ₹10 lakh, it will compete with models like Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and others in the segment, with annual sales expectations of about 50,000 units.
