The single judge bench of Justice Siddharth, who dismissed the petition on Thursday, said that the fact is that the petitioner has acted irresponsibly by allowing the broadcast of a film against the fundamental rights of the majority citizens of this country.

The court said, “It has come to our notice that the applicant had filed an anticipatory bail petition regarding another FIR lodged at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow.” She was given interim relief from arrest by another bench on 11 February, but she was not cooperating in the investigation.

This anticipatory bail petition was filed at the Rabupura police station in Greater Noida with a request for relief against the FIR lodged. The FIR, filed by a person named Balbir Azad, alleged that the image of Uttar Pradesh has been tarnished through the Tandava web series, as well as insulting Hindu deities.

The state government’s lawyer opposed the bail plea saying that a total of 10 FIRs and 4 criminal complaints have been filed in the country regarding this controversial web series, many people across the country feel that this web series hurts their sentiments. Delivers.

On the matter, the court said that the Western film producers avoid making fun of Jesus Christ or Mohammed Saheb, but Hindi filmmakers are still doing it with reference to Hindu deities.
