Vice President urges researchers to come up with innovations to solve farmers’ problems – education

Emphasising on the significance of agriculture in India, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu urged researchers and scientists to come up with innovations to deal with the problems confronted by the farmers.

Talking at a digital assembly on Tuesday, Naidu stated, “From offering well timed data to farmers on varied points to creating chilly storage services and supplying new applied sciences needs to be the main focus of innovators and researchers.”

He additionally pressured the necessity for stopping farmer’s exploitation by middlemen and guaranteeing remunerative costs for his or her produce.

Naidu requested the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Indian Council of Agricultural Analysis (ICAR), Nationwide Institute of Rural Growth (NIRD) and agriculture universities to work in unison to carry new innovations and applied sciences to farmers, said a press launch by Press Data Bureau.

Stressing the necessity for India’s greater education system to play the function of an enabler and power-multiplier to drive Indian innovation and start-up ecosystem, the Vice President stated “Innovation should change into the heartbeat of education. Quest for excellence should change into the norm,” added the discharge.

In the meantime, Naidu nearly introduced Atal Rating of Establishments on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2021.
