Yogi government’s big win in SC – order to shift mafia Mukhtar Ansari to UP jail

While giving a big verdict in favor of Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh, ordered that the mafia Mukhtar Ansari should be shifted from Punjab to UP jail within 15 days. There was a political and legal war between the governments of UP and Punjab these days about the mafia don of Purvanchal and Bahubali MLA Mukhtar Ansari of BSP.

Mukhtar Ansari is currently lodged in Ropar Jail in Punjab. There are ten cases against this in Allahabad’s special MP MLA court, out of which one case of the double murder is on the final stage.

The Supreme Court has said that the Prayagraj MP-MLA court will decide in which jail Mukhtar will stay in Uttar Pradesh. The Punjab government was not satisfied with the plea during the hearing of the case. After this order, Mukhtar is likely to be shifted to UP’s Banda or Naini Jail.
