This incident happened in Talai village of Raigad district. The search and rescue operation is still going on from the side of NDRF. The death toll may rise. Still, many more people are feared trapped.
Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray said, “Around 35 people have lost their lives due to landslide in Talai village of Raigad. Rescue operation is going on in many places. I have ordered evacuation and relocation of those people who are living in those areas.” Where there is a possibility of landslides.
