From this year, the rules of Miss Universe have been amended and now they allow anyone over the age of 18 to participate. Earlier, only people from 18 to 28 could participate, but now the change has brought in new names and capabilities to be showcased. Alejandra Marisa Rodriguez has broken records.
She used to be a lawyer and journalist before, and now she is the Miss Universe of the country she is representing. “I am thrilled to be representing this new paradigm in beauty pageants because we are inaugurating a new stage in which women are not only physical beauty but another set of values,” she said to the media after her big win.
