 Well, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ need no introduction. One of the most loved movies from the romantic 90s era is based on friendship, love, honesty, and innocence. Everything has been depicted beautifully inthe movie, making it one of the most-watched Bollywood movies of all time. Due to the huge popularity of the movie, Anjali, Rahul, and Tina became household names. 

The director of the ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, Karan Johar stated that after seeing that time’s trend in Bollywood he never would have made a movie on that script. 

“Everything was wrong, but it was written with so much conviction that it made sense”, said KJo.

But the film left a magical impact on the audience. Even after 20 years, fans are still mesmerized by its vibe.

Initially, Karan wanted to have Rani Mukherjee’s real voice for Tina but later changed his mind due to her husky voice. Rani also played the role of Tina as recommended by Aditya Chopra to Karan Johar. Adit became a fan of Rani in her debut movie ‘Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat’. Plus, Rani was interested in playing the role after she read the script. At the time of the shooting of the film, Rani was merely 19 years old. 

Salman Khan’s amazing performance as Aman is still considered one of the best performances of his career. Although, Karan initially wanted Saif Ali Khan to play the role of Aman. But he turned down the offer. As Saif’s loss became Salman’s gain. He later went on to win Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.

During the shooting of ‘Yeh Ladka Hai Deewana’, Kajol got injured. She fell from the cycle and lost consciousness. The only person she could remember was her then-boyfriend Ajay Devgan. As a Joke, Shah Rukh told Kajol she was a junior artist during the shoot. 

Sana Saeed who portrayed the role of junior Anjali garnered immense appreciation for her performance, she is still known as Anjali to this day. During the shoot, she often hated using glycerine for crying so Karan Johar had to be rude and mean to her in order to her to get emotional and cry. Plus, during the Basketball scenes, Kajol and Shahrukh had to use the trampoline to jump. 

The movie’s climax is quite emotional as it involves a lot of crying. Shahrukh who is known to cry at a dime said due to so much crying he disliked the scene. It was Kajol’s idea to add Tina’s death scene at the climax in order to make it more emotional.
