Coolie No. 1 Review: Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No. 1 fans were waiting for a long time. Today, on the occasion of Christmas, the film has been released on Amazon Prime. Coolie No. 1 is made under the direction of David Dhawan. This film is a remake of the 1995 Govinda film Coolie No.1. The 1995 flavor of the film was presented in a new form in front of the fans. Movie story
The story of the film begins with Goa’s rich hotel owner Malik Rosario (Paresh Rawal). Rosario is looking for a richer son-in-law for his two daughters. In such a situation, Pandit Jai Kishan (Javed Jaffrey) arrives at his house with a relationship for his daughter Sara (Sara Ali Khan), but Rosario instills this Pandit very much. After this Jaikishan is determined to avenge his insults. For this, he takes Coolie No. 1 i.e. Raju (Varun Dhawan). He takes Raju to Rosario by creating a fake rich princess. Raju plays a drama to become a millionaire Kunwar Mahendra Pratap Singh to get married. Sara and Raju are completely in love with each other, but when their truth comes to light, they weave another story – that of a twin brother. He tells one lie after another to save Sarah from marriage, but gradually the matter gets out of his hands and he gets into a big mess.
Comedy Dose
Such an old flavor has been served in the film, but if anyone who has seen Govinda and Karishma’s Coolie No. 1, they will like this film less. Even in 2021, the film remains confined in 1995. Many such scenes have been introduced in the film which are going to be beyond the comprehension of the fans. Acting
In the role of Raju, Varun Dhawan has tried his best to enter. His comeback timing is good, but when compared to Govinda, he can disappoint. Paresh Rawal is seen stranded in the film’s strange dialogues. Yet Paresh has left his mark as usual. It seems that there is no Sara Ali Khan and Rajpal Yadav in the film, that is, both have got very little space in the movie. At the same time, Javed Jaffrey, Sahil Vaidya and Shikha Talsania have done justice to their younger characters and have been effective.
Direction
Talking about David Dhawan, he has not done justice with the remake of his own film. 1995 to 2021 .. Given the difference of 25 years, the film needed some tweaking, but the screenplay was completely ignored. In the film, rich and poverty are depicted in a very strange way.
