Uttar Pradesh: Guidelines issued for migrant laborers returning to the state

In Uttar Pradesh, the situation is becoming very uncontrollable with Corona. The Yogi government has issued a protocol for migrant workers returning to their village amid the threat of infection. Under this, quarantine centers will be built in all districts. It will be necessary to screen the migrants returning from the state, including Maharashtra, Delhi, and other migrants returning to the state in the district. After this, it has been made necessary for seven-day home quarantine. Despite having no symptoms, he has to remain in isolation for seven days. If there are symptoms, then quarantine will have to remain for 14 days.

After the instruction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the district collectors have been made aware of it. Now in all the districts, instructions have been given to work on war footing under special strategy to provide medical services with RT-PCR check of migrant laborers.

In every district of the state, along with the Quarantine Center, the team of Health Department will conduct RT-PCR check of these migrant laborers. The government will make arrangements for food, quarantine and medicines of those laborers whose report will be positive. Along with this, after 14 days of monitoring in the isolation center, these migrant laborers will be transported to their home district by the buses of the Transport Corporation.

The district administration will conduct the screening. On receiving the symptom, it will be kept in quarantine. If someone is found infected after examination, then he has to be isolated at Kovid Hospital or at home. If there are symptoms, but are not found infected, they will be sent to the 14-day home quarantine. If the symptoms are not there, the person will stay in the home quarantine for seven days.

After reaching the district, the district administration will prepare a line listing along with the address and mobile number along with scrutiny of each migrant.
The names, address, mobile number etc. of the migrants will have to be entered in a register by the in-charge of the Quarantine Center. Those whose homes do not have a system of home isolation will be kept in institutional quarantine. For this, it has been said that schools should be reserved.

Village monitoring committee will be used for community surveillance and mohalla monitoring committee in urban areas. Asha Karkatri will visit every such quarantined houses once in three days.
