Pathankot Grenade Attack: Bike Riders threw grande over Army Camp, No Casualties

Pathankot, Punjab: Unknown bike riders attacked Triveni Dwar Gate, the military area of the Pathankot, with a grenade at around one o’clock last night. No casualties have been reported in the case. The Pathankot police have declared high alert in the entire district.

Top Pathankot police officers including SSP Surinder Lamba are on the spot. Efforts are on to extract clues from the CCTV cameras installed around the area.

According to the information, motorcyclists hurled a grenade at the Triveni gate of the army, which was on the way to Dheeira from Pathankot’s Kathwala bridge, late on Sunday night. Due to this, there was a loud explosion. However, the jawans on duty at the gate were at a distance, so no one got hurt.

Even the military officials are not able to tell who were the bikers, who threw the grenades came from and where they gone.

Surinder Lamba, SSP, Pathankot said – Late in the night some people came riding on motorcycles and hurled a grenade at the Triveni gate of the army. Currently no information about how many people were on the bike, where they came from, where they have gone after throwing the Grenade. Areas CCTV cameras are being checked. Based on that the investigation, we will proceed further.
