Honor Play 8T was rolled out in China recently as a part of the company’s latest budget handset. This new Honor Play series of smartphones offers 256GB of inbuilt storage, up to 12GB of RAM, MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC, and upgrades over the Honor Play 7T.

The newly launched smartphone, Honor Play 8T flaunts a 6,000mAh battery with support of 35W fast charging, along with a refresh rate of 90Hz, and features a 6.8-inch LCD.

The base variant of Honor Play 8T, the 8GB RAM + 256GB variant is currently available at CNY 1,099 or Rs. 12,500 roughly. Moreover, the top-end variant of 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration is currently priced at roughly Rs. 14,700 or CNY 1,299.

The phone is available in various colors including Streaming Silver, Ink Jade Green, and Fantasy Night Black. The Smartphone can be procured in China from the Honor Mall store. However, further details about the availability of newly launched smartphones in other markets like India are yet to be announced.

Honor Play 8T runs on MagicOS 7.2, based on Android 13, and supports dual-SIM (Nano). The smartphone sports an aspect ratio of 20:09, peak brightness of 850 nits, refresh rate of 90Hz with a 6.8-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,412 pixels) TFT LCD. The phone flaunts a screen that has a hole punch cutout aligned centrally to house the selfie shooter.

On the optics front, the Honor Play 8T smartphone flaunts a dual rear camera setup. It offers a main camera sensor of 50 megapixels with an f/1.8 aperture lens along with a depth sensor of 2 megapixels with an f/2.4 aperture lens.

The rear camera of the phone delivers 10x digital zoom along with supporting 1080-pixel video recording. Honor offers a front camera of 8 megapixels with f/2.0 aperture lens for video chats and selfies.
