Ram Mandir prasad and 'sooji ka halwa': Double dose of joy for Rakul-Jackky (Lead)

Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani received a divine blessing from Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir after their wedding on February 21. Rakul prepared ‘sooji ka halwa’ for her ‘Chauka Chardhana’ ceremony at her in-laws’ home, symbolizing taking charge of the kitchen as a new bride.

The newly-wed couple shared a picture of the prasad they received, including a temple miniature, a silver coin, and sweets. Rakul expressed gratitude for the prasadam, calling it a divine start to their journey together.

Rakul gave a glimpse of her first visit to her in-laws’ ‘rasoi’ on Instagram, showcasing the ‘sooji ka halwa’ she made. The actress, who will soon be seen in ‘Indian 2’, shared the significance of the ‘Chauka Chardhana’ ritual, where the bride cooks for the first time, typically a sweet dish.

In another post, Rakul shared joyous pictures from a wedding event, wearing a stunning outfit designed by Falguni Peacock. The enchanting ensemble featured a heavily embroidered blouse, matching lehenga, and transparent pearl dupatta, while Jackky wore a blue velvet blazer with silver work.

The series of photos captured the couple’s brightness and joy on their special night. The intimate wedding had two ceremonies, ‘Anand Karaj’ in the Sikh tradition and a Sindhi-style ceremony, reflecting both Rakul and Jackky’s cultural backgrounds. The event was attended by family and friends, including Shilpa Shetty and Arjun Kapoor.
