'BMCM' producer Deepshikha Deshmukh, husband Dhiraj turn to bee-keeping

Mumbai, Feb 27 (IANS) Producer Deepshikha Deshmukh and politician Dhiraj Deshmukh have announced that on their 12th wedding anniversary they have become beekeepers. They shared a video on Instagram giving a glimpse into their bee farm, emphasizing the importance of bees in the ecosystem.

The video shows Dhiraj, brother of actor Riteish Deshmukh, interacting with bees while Deepshikha explains their decision to become beekeepers. She mentions the crucial role bees play in pollinating plants and ensuring food supply, and the magic of watching them work together to create honey.

Deepshikha highlighted that becoming beekeepers was not just about producing honey, but also about connecting with nature, fostering biodiversity, and embracing the world around them. Shilpa Shetty complimented the post, calling it “Soooo beautiful.”

Dhiraj also expressed his love and appreciation for his wife on their anniversary on Instagram. He described her as the better half in their relationship and reflected on how life keeps getting better with her. Dhiraj, a Congress MLA from Latur Gramin, Maharashtra, is the youngest son of Vilasrao Deshmukh, the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Talking about their decision, Deepshikha mentioned the significant role bees play as pollinators and emphasized the importance of their preservation for supporting biodiversity. As they embark on their beekeeping journey, they aim to contribute to the conservation of bees.

On the professional front, Deepshikha is looking forward to the release of the action entertainer ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film is set to hit the screens on Eid.
