Wendell Pierce chosen to play Perry White in James Gunn’s ‘Superman’

Actor Wendell Pierce has been cast as Perry White in James Gunn’s upcoming ‘Superman’ film, where he will join a star-studded ensemble including Nicholas Hoult, Anthony Carrigan, Isabela Merced, and more. Filming for the project began on February 29, marking a fresh start for the DC Universe under Gunn’s direction.

Pierce, best known for his work on ‘The Wire’, will portray the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet newspaper, a crucial character in the Superman lore.
