Actress Alia Bhatt is all set to headline a spy universe movie, scheduled to start filming in the later part of 2024. The news was confirmed by YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani at FICCI Frames, who expressed excitement about the upcoming project and the growth of the spy universe franchise.
Widhani revealed, “Alia Bhatt is headlining a Spy Universe film and that the schedule starts later this year. We are thrilled about having this IP in the studio and it is a financial and cultural juggernaut. There will be more films under the spy universe, with Alia joining forces with actress Sharvari Wagh as super-agents in the action entertainer.”
The YRF spy universe, which includes successful films like ‘War’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, will continue to expand with upcoming projects like ‘War 2’ starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. Akshaye also discussed the streaming success of YRF projects like ‘The Railway Men’ and ‘The Romantics’, which have garnered global appreciation.
‘The Railway Men’ trended in over 36 countries and ‘The Romantics’ highlighted YRF’s impact on pop culture for the past 50 years. Akshaye emphasized the company’s dedication to creating disruptive content and the significant role movies play in Indian culture, sharing personal anecdotes of how YRF movies have been a part of people’s lives for generations.
