Karishma Tanna steals the show as a showstopper at LFW x FDCI for emerging designers

Actress Karishma Tanna steals the show as she turns showstopper for new designers at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI in Mumbai. A group of aspiring designers presented their reimagined vintage fashion collections from the 1960s to the 1980s, with Karishma donning a creation by Yash Gala from INIFD.

Yash Gala, a cub designer from Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD), showcased his collection inspired by strong bold looks and structured garments. Karishma’s support for new talent was evident as she expressed her joy in walking for a talented designer and encouraging the young designers.

The event also featured collections inspired by 1970s fashion, Japanese vintage ready-to-wear in shades of blue and white, eclectic collections based on personal doodles, and a unique ‘Checkmate’ collection made from leftover fabric and inspired by the 1960s. The show highlighted the creativity and talent of the emerging designers in the fashion industry.

Disha Khosla, style mentor from INIFD, emphasized the significance of Karishma Tanna’s support for new designers, stating that stars often decline such opportunities. Karishma’s dedication to nurturing new talent and her appreciation for the passion and dreams of aspiring designers were evident as she graced the runway for the fresh and innovative collections.
