IPL 2024: PBKS vs DC and KKR vs SRH head-to-head history; Schedule and TV coverage

The second day of IPL will see a double-header with Punjab Kings taking on Delhi Capitals at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, and Kolkata Knight Riders facing Sunrisers Hyderabad at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Rishabh Pant’s return to DC and KKR signing Mitchell Starc will be key highlights.

In the first match, DC will be led by Rishabh Pant, while Punjab Kings will play their first match at their new home base in Mullanpur. DC have won 15 out of 32 matches against PBKS, but in the last two years, they have won five out of six matches. The match will start at 4:00 PM IST with live coverage on Star Sports and Jio.

The pitch at Mullanpur is expected to be good for batting, with long straight boundaries and two-paced bounce. The temperature is likely to be around 30°C in the afternoon, making it a challenging match for both teams. In the second match, SRH will be led by Pat Cummins, while KKR will be led by Shreyas Iyer, who is making a comeback as captain after missing the 2023 season.

The match between KKR and SRH will start at 8:00 PM IST at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. KKR’s spin-friendly pitch may give them an advantage, as they look to improve their home record from last season. With little chance of dew, the match is expected to be a close contest. In previous IPL encounters, Kolkata has had the upper hand, winning 16 out of 25 matches against Hyderabad.
