KKR beats SRH by 4 runs in IPL 2024 with Rana’s brilliant final over outshining Klassen’s 63

In a thrilling match at the Eden Gardens, Harshit Rana’s heroics in the final over helped Kolkata Knight Riders secure a narrow four-run victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 3 of the IPL 2024. Heinrich Klaassen’s explosive innings almost turned the game on its head before Rana brought it home for KKR.

Klaassen and Shahbaz Ahmed’s aggressive strokeplay took SRH from the brink of defeat to within striking distance of victory, needing 13 runs off the last over. However, Rana bowled a brilliant over, dismissing Klaassen and Ahmed to seal the win for KKR with a nerve-wracking finish.

KKR posted a total of 208/7, with Andre Russell’s unbeaten 64 off 25 balls being the standout performance. In response, SRH fell just short with a valiant chase, ending on 204/7.
