Shiv Sena candidate possibly stepping back, considering exiting Baramati race to Pawar’s ‘nanad-bhabhi’

In a significant development, former Shiv Sena legislator Vijay Shivtare is likely to withdraw from the Baramati election race after meeting top MahaYuti leaders. After a ‘fruitful’ meeting with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit A. Pawar, along with senior Shiv Sena leader Bharat Gogawale at the CM’s bungalow ‘Varsha’, a positive outcome was reached.

The smiles of all parties indicated a potential end to the political brawl over Baramati, with Shivtare potentially opting out of the race. Earlier, Shivtare had threatened to file his nomination papers as an independent, causing tension within MahaYuti and prompting reactions from Ajit A. Pawar.

The battle for Baramati now centers around NCP President Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra A. Pawar and SP Working President Supriya Sule. The relationship between the two women, both from the NCP (SP), has been described as cordial despite their political rivalry in the constituency.

Ajit A. Pawar hinted at the NCP’s official nominee for Baramati, suggesting that the candidate’s identity is already known. The upcoming announcement will determine the final lineup for the constituency as the election date nears.
