ITBP and Maharashtra Police remain dominant in National Kho Kho Championship

The Indo Tibat Border Police and Maharashtra Police emerged victorious in the ongoing 56th National Kho-Kho Championship held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium and Karnail Singh Stadium on Friday. In the men’s category, Maharashtra Police defeated Uttarakhand, while Dadra and Nagar Haveli won against Sikkim. ITBP faced Sashastra Seema Bal in another exciting match. In the women’s category, ITBP played against Assam, and Delhi dominated the game against Jharkhand. Vidarbha also secured a win against Manipur.

In an intense men’s match, Maharashtra Police’s Nitesh and Akshay led their team to victory with a total of 30 points against Uttarakhand’s 26 points. Dadra and Nagar Haveli triumphed over Sikkim by 16 points, with a final score of 32-16. ITBP faced a tough competition from Sashastra Seema Bal, where SSB emerged victorious by a margin of two points.

In the women’s category, a thrilling match took place between ITBP and Assam, where both teams scored equally. Delhi showcased dominance in their game against Jharkhand with a score of 38-16. Vidarbha secured a win over Manipur by 20 runs. The championship served as a rehearsal before the World Championship, with KKFI President Sudhanshu Mittal praising the event as a step towards the upcoming tournament.
