IPL 2024: Krunal Pandya and de Kock lead LSG to 199/8 against Punjab with late contributions

Lucknow Super Giants posted a challenging total of 199 for 8 against Punjab Kings in the 11th match of the IPL 2024. Quinton de Kock’s 54 and Nicholas Pooran’s 42 set the foundation before Krunal Pandya’s late blitz of 43 off 22 deliveries boosted the score.

Opening with KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock, LSG had a solid start with 35 runs in the first four overs. However, Rahul fell to Arshdeep Singh after a quick 15. Devdutt Padikkal and Marcus Stoinis also contributed before de Kock’s innings propelled the team to 199.

De Kock reached his fifty with a strike rate of 150, while Pooran’s aggressive approach added crucial runs. Krunal Pandya’s explosive cameo in the final overs pushed LSG past the 190-run mark, making it the highest total at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in the IPL.

Sam Curran was the pick of the bowlers for Punjab Kings, taking three wickets, while Arshdeep Singh, Kagiso Rabada, and Rahul Chahar chipped in with one wicket each. The stage is set for an exciting chase as LSG pose a challenging target for Punjab Kings in their quest for victory.
