Vicky Kaushal concludes filming in Wai for historical drama ‘Chhaava’, shares pictures

Mumbai, April 6 (IANS) Vicky Kaushal, known for his stellar performances, concluded the Wai schedule of his upcoming film ‘Chhaava’ on Saturday. The actor, who recently appeared in ‘Sam Bahadur’, shared a glimpse of the picturesque location on his Instagram Stories.

Located in the Satara district of Maharashtra, Wai holds historical significance and is often referred to as ‘Dakshin Kashi’. The town, situated on the Krishna River, boasts over 100 temples and was a prominent area during the Peshwa era. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the shooting for ‘Chhaava’ began in October 2023.

Vicky Kaushal, portraying the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, and Rashmika Mandanna, playing the character of Yesubai Bhonsale, are set to bring this historical drama to life on the silver screen. The actor expressed his gratitude for the Wai schedule and is now looking forward to diving into the next phase of filming for ‘Chhaava’.
