Corona’s havoc and outcry for oxygen – quite real

Amidst the rising cases of Corona virus and acute shortage of oxygen in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the country on the night of 20 April. In his address, the PM acknowledged the lack of oxygen in the country and said, “Central government, state governments, private sector, everyone is doing their best to provide oxygen to every needy.”

“The challenge is huge, we have to keep hope up.”

The challenge is not big, but it is affecting our healthcare system badly. There is a shortage of beds in hospitals, there is no vaccine for Covid Vaccination, there is also reports of shortage of medicines like Remadecivir, different states are requesting oxygen from the center.

Advising the states not to impose lockdown, the PM said that if the Kovid rules were followed, there would be no need to impose lockdown.

“In today’s situation we have to save the country from lockdown. I will also request the states to use lockdown as the last option. “

PM simply forgot to tell the country how big the challenge is and what the government is doing to deal with it.

Cremation grounds are filled for cremation in many states of the country including Gujarat. People are getting lines. The situation in Ghaziabad is so bad that the family is forced to cremate on the pavement itself.

On April 22, 3.14 lakh cases were reported in the country, which is the highest number of cases in any country in the world in a single day. Earlier more than 3 lakh cases were reported in America.
