Elon Musk, the current Chief Executive Officer of the social media platform Twitter has made some announcements recently. According to the CEO, Elon Musk, there will be an addition of video chat and adding voice features on Twitter soon. Enabling this feature would allow the users to contact and communicate with other users on the same platform seamlessly. However, the advantage is that, without the help of anyone’s phone number, communication will be possible.

Elon Musk’s Strategy

Elon Musk’s announcement marks some major additional features to be inculcated on Twitter. The CEO of Twitter, explains the features in his tweet. According to the tweet, these additional features will give users a great opportunity to initiate video calls and voice calls on the platform.

A user from his/her Twitter handle will be able to communicate with another user on Twitter. It will also allow people to chat with individuals existing worldwide irrespective of huge gaps in geographical location. Additionally, the encryption feature is also being added to the Twitter DMs. The feature of replying to any message in continuation of a thread will also be added. The opportunity to add an emoji reaction to any reply or thread will also be made available on the platform.

As per Musk, by tomorrow all the Twitter direct messages will be encrypted. Furthermore, Encrypted direct messages version 1.0 will be incorporated. Elon Musk emphasized the fact that this encryption feature is so tough to decode that even he would not be able to decode the same, even if a gun is placed on his head.

Elon Musk has dreamt to convert Twitter into his version of a micro-blogging website, and simultaneously into a super application. According to the CEO, the new video and voice chat feature will help Twitter reach its heights. With the introduction of this calling feature, the users of Twitter can also use the applications for personal interactions.
