Ration card holders in Delhi will be given home delivery of rations from March. The Delhi government is starting the doorstep delivery service of rations from March. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced to start this service. After the announcement of the CM, customers will no longer have to line up at ration shops. Rations will be delivered to the cardholders on time at the door of the house.

For example, if a Ration card holder has to get 25 kg of wheat and 10 kg of rice, it will be delivered with neat packing. That is, the customer will get rid of the hassle of going to a shopkeeper. Every month’s quota of grain will be available at home without going anywhere.

It will also save people’s time and reduce reliance on ration shops. According to CM Kejriwal, customers will now have two options to get Ration card. That is, customers can either go to the ration shop and take rations as before or choose the home delivery option of rations. Customers are completely free to do so.

The Chief Minister of Delhi has said that from the day this service will start, the system of ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ of the Central Government will also be implemented. Under this arrangement, people of one state can go to another state and get rations. For this, they do not need to make a new ration card.
