Nicki Minaj, the renowned rapper, was stopped by the Dutch authorities for “allegedly carrying drugs,” as per police reports. This incident occurred during the weekend, reported The Guardian.
A video clip was captured on Nicki Minaj’s Instagram Live. Later, the clip went viral, spreading all over the internet by different social media users.
In the video, Minaj can be heard talking with cops while carrying her camera phone. This incident occurred at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.
In the video clip, the hip-hop star could be heard saying “pre-rolls they found.” The other moment Nicki could be spotted being ushered out of her vehicle and the police urged her to get into the police van.
The hip-hop mogul asked the cop the reason behind asking her to get into the van. To which, an official informed her that “You are under arrest. Later, the official added, “for carrying drugs.”
Then Nicki Minaj said, “I’m not carrying drugs.”
Nicki Minaj was still filming the video clip even while she asked for the address of the police station. She asked the address to have her lawyer present at the police station.
The police could be heard asking Nicki to “stop filming.”

According to reports by CNN, the media outlet contacted Amsterdam authorities to find out information about Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, Minaj’s given name.
The Netherlands military police, popularly known as the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee stated that a 41-year-old American woman was apprehended at Schiphol Airport possessing ‘soft drugs.’ They added that the woman was in custody for interrogation.
Later, CNN released an updated statement on Saturday stating that the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee had released the American woman who was detained “on suspicion of exporting soft drugs.”
The statement read, “Following consultation with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect received a monetary fine and is now permitted to continue her journey.”
The rapper, Nicki Minaj, is on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour currently. The show in Manchester, UK that she was slated to perform on May 25, Saturday, was later postponed to May 30, Thursday.
