Amritsar: 125 passengers of Italy-Amritsar flight test positive for Covid – Airport Director

Amidst the increasing cases of coronavirus, shocking news has come out from Amritsar. 125 passengers of the flight from Italy to Amritsar have been found to be Covid positive. Airport director VK Seth has given this information. According to the information, 125 out of 179 members of a non-scheduled charter flight (UU-661) that reached Amritsar from Milan city of Italy were found to be Covid positive. State health officials are monitoring the situation and the passengers who have tested positive are being quarantined.

Earlier the flight was said to be of AIR INDIA, but recently Air India denied the rumours by tweeting.

Let us tell you, significantly, due to the new variant Omicron, the number of corona cases has increased rapidly in India as well as worldwide. Talking about India, 90,928 new COVID-19 cases have been registered in the country in the last 24 hours on Thursday, which is 56.5% more than Wednesday. There were 58,097 new corona case reports yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 325 people have died due to corona infection. The total number of people who lost their lives due to corona in the country has reached 4,82,876.
