1. “London Files” (Voot Select)

This six-episode forensic thriller, created by Sachin Pathak (who earlier created another cop thriller, ‘Kathmandu Connection‘), depicts a crime scene investigator who is seeking to solve an elevated case while fighting his own personal problems. As seen in ‘Luther,’ ‘Wallander,’ and ‘Happy Valley,’ to mention a few examples, this damaged cop protagonist who is clever and fighting his personal demons is a mainstay of western cop drama. With engaging, fully worked characters and a fascinating plot, there’s enough already to keep the audience playing the odds up until the very end reveal. Finally, what starts out as a gloomy mystery thriller quickly becomes a story of lies, deceit, and reconciliation.

2. “Guilty Minds” (Amazon Prime)

Guilty Minds is a film written and directed by Shefali Bhsuhan, co-directed by Jayant Digambar Somalkar, and produced by Karan Grover, Antara Banerjee, and Naved Farooqui. It stars Shriya Pilgaonkar and Varun Mitra, as well as Namrata Sheth, Sugandha Garg, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Satish Kaushik, and Benjamin Gilani. 4. “He’s Expecting” (Netflix)

When a successful advertising executive who thinks he’s got it all worked out gets pregnant, he’s forced to face societal disparities he’d never thought about before. A Japanese program with a unique take on parenthood in which the genders of the parents are switched during pregnancy. He’s Expecting will be available on Netflix on April 21st.

5. “Better Call Saul season 6” (Netflix)

As his alternate ego Saul Goodman, an ethically troubled criminal lawyer, Jimmy McGill morphs into a small-time counsel and goes through a sequence of testing and catastrophes. Better Call Saul, starring Bob Odenkirk and premiering on Netflix on April 19th, is one of the best legal thrillers, especially when it comes to what occurs outside of the courthouse.
