National Energy Conservation Day is observed on 14th December every year. It was implemented by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) of India in 2001. Under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, The Ministry of Power observes the Energy Conservation Week from 8 to 14 December 2021. As a part of the celebration, several activities are done under Power CPSUs for National Energy Conservation Day.
Basically, National Energy Conservation Day was recognised by the Energy Efficiency Bureau (BEE) is a constitutional body that operates under the Government of India. It works towards the development of strategies and policies in order to reduce the use of energy. The main aim of the Energy Conservation Act in India is to allow and assign qualified professionals, auditors, and energetic managers who are experts in policy making in energy-related projects.
