Santi is the son of Christian Chaco Gimenez, a former professional footballer who also represented Mexico, despite being born in Argentina. Santi Gimenez opened his career with Cruz Azul Club in Mexico in 2017. His stint with the Mexican club proved to be very beneficial and successful. In July 2022, Gimenez joined Feyenoord, where he proved to be an exceptional goal-scoring prowess in the Eredivisie season last year. He was crucial in helping Feyenoord in triumphing in the 2022-23 Eredivisie season.
