Telangana CM directs officials to start Musi Riverfront Development work

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the officials to expedite the Musi Riverfront Development Project. The CM held a review meeting with officials at the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) office in Nanakramguda, where the officials briefed him about the location sketch of Musi river boundaries and other important details. The CM emphasized on completing the exercise to begin the riverfront development project as soon as possible.

The officials have been instructed to clean up the entire Musi river before commencing the work. Furthermore, Revanth Reddy ordered the officials to ensure that all historical structures along the river in the city are connected in the development plans. He also suggested dividing the work amongst the officials to ensure efficient progress.

During his recent visits to London and Dubai, the Chief Minister inspected riverfront projects and held meetings with representatives of foreign companies, design, planning, architecture firms, and consultancy experts. The state government had previously stated that several reputed companies from around the world have shown interest in executing the project. In line with this, top officials of Meinhardt Group, a global planning, engineering, and project management company, met with the Chief Minister in Hyderabad on February 6th.

The Musi Riverfront Development Project is a key initiative that aims to transform the riverfront into a vibrant and sustainable area, enhancing the city’s beauty and providing recreational and commercial spaces for citizens. With the Chief Minister’s recent directive, it is evident that the state government is keen on expediting the development work to realize this vision in the near future.
