Illegal arms supplier held in Delhi; 12 semi-automatic pistols recovered

A notorious illegal weapons manufacturer and supplier based in Madhya Pradesh, who had supplied over 200 illicit arms to criminals and gangsters in Delhi and its peripherals, was nabbed in the Sagarpur area of New Delhi. The arrested individual, Malkhan Singh, was found in possession of 12 semi-automatic pistols of .32 bore along with 12 loaded magazines.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest) Rohit Meena, the arrest was made on February 16 based on specific information received about Singh’s delivery of a huge cache of illicit arms near Nala Road, Sagarpur. Singh was apprehended with a blue colored bag while waiting for a consignee at the expected place of delivery, and the search of the bag led to the recovery of 12 illicit semi-automatic pistols of .32 bore with 12 magazines.

It was revealed that Singh had been manufacturing illegal weapons in order to fulfill his desire for wealth, supplying them to criminals in the NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. He had been involved in illegal firearms trade for the last 20 years, and his illegal trade had suffered a setback when he was previously arrested by the Special Cell, Delhi Police. After being released on bail, Singh had been facing difficulties in meeting the continuous demand for weapons from criminals in Delhi-NCR, leading him to personally visit Delhi to revive his illegal business.

Singh’s arrest was a significant blow to illegal firearms trafficking activities in the region, as he had been a major supplier to criminals for a considerable period of time. The recovery of the illicit arms and the arrest of Singh will help law enforcement authorities in curbing the illicit arms trade and ensuring the safety and security of the public.
