History
In 1926, the fourth World Conference of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts was organized at Camp Edith Macy in New York. Representatives and delegates from all over the globe attended the conference. Everyone there decided to dedicate a day to Girl Scouts and guides. The joint birthday of the founder of the Scout and Guide movement, Lord Baden-Powell, and his wife Olave was decided to be celebrated as World Thinking Day. Since then, the day has been in commemoration all over the globe.

World Thinking Day is significant as it helps in collecting and raising funds for the development and empowerment of 10 million Girl Guides and Scouts approximately across the world. The day focuses on creating a world that is equitable for both men and women, providing all sorts of equal opportunities to every girl existing.
