Tribal girl found dead in Bengal's Malda, rape and murder suspected

The body of a minor girl from a tribal and financially backward family was discovered at an abandoned brick-kiln in West Bengal’s Malda district on Friday. The family suspects she was raped and murdered before being dumped at the site.

The victim’s family members allege that she was raped and then killed, with her body being left at the brick-kiln. Police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death and if she was indeed sexually assaulted.

The girl had been missing since late Thursday, and her family spent the night searching for her. They eventually found her body behind an unused furnace at the brick kiln with signs of trauma. The victim’s father emphasized the need for a thorough investigation due to their financial struggles and his dedication to educating his daughter.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, as the community demands justice for the young girl. The police are working to uncover the truth behind the tragic death of the minor, with details still emerging about the circumstances surrounding the case.
