Police probing 'real intention' of four Iranian infiltrators arrested in Bengal

The West Bengal Police are investigating the ‘real intention’ of four Iranian infiltrators arrested in Cooch Behar on Friday night. Among them, three are men and one is a woman. Two had been in India for some time before moving to West Bengal, while the others entered recently through Nepal.

According to sources, Mahdi Pahange and Zaved Aminimhr initially stayed in Delhi before relocating to Cooch Behar. Ibrahim Derakhshanpore and his daughter Elham joined them a month ago. The police are determining why they chose this district near the Bangladesh border as their new base.

Pahange and Aminimar are fluent in Hindi due to their stay in Delhi, unlike Ibrahim and Elham. All four Iranian nationals have been remanded to five-day police custody by a district court. The investigation aims to uncover the motives behind their presence in the area.
