Man feels neglected by parents, kills elder brother in UP's Prayagraj

In a tragic turn of events, a 24-year-old man named Satyam in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, killed his elder brother Shivam on Sunday. The reason behind this heinous act was reportedly a feeling of neglect due to perceived favoritism towards Shivam by their parents.

The incident took place at their home in the Cantt police station area, where Satyam attacked Shivam with an iron rod while he was sleeping. Despite efforts to save him, Shivam succumbed to his injuries, prompting the police to arrest Satyam.

Both brothers are the sons of Sandeep Mishra, a caterer, with Shivam pursuing his final year of LLB while Satyam is studying for his M.Com. According to a police spokesman, Satyam confessed during interrogation that he felt ignored by his parents, leading him to take drastic action against his brother.

The police responded to a complaint filed by the father and have registered a case against Satyam. The motive behind the crime sheds light on the impact of familial dynamics on individuals, highlighting the importance of addressing emotional neglect to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
