Euphoria Actor Hunter Schafer Along With Fifty Protestors Arrested For Pro-Palestine Protest In New York

Hunter Schafer, who made her acting debut as the trans teen Jules Vaughn in HBO’s hit series “Euphoria” in 2019, has been arrested along with fifty other participants from “Jewish Voice for Peace” during a protest at NBC’s 30 Rockefeller Center in New York.

As reported by BNN Breaking, The pro-Palestinian group was protesting and aimed to disrupt Joe Biden’s Late Night with Seth Meyers appearance.

Hunter Schafer Calls for End to Israel’s Military Campaign in Gaza

Hunter Schafer was demanding an immediate halt to the military campaign by Israel in the Gaza Strip, which was precipitated by the terror attack into Israel by Hamas killing over 1,200 Israeli civilians.

The war in Gaza has been continuing for almost two months and has killed more than 30,000 Palestinians, reported by Al Jazeera. The latest protests are a sign of increasing opposition to Joe Biden’s pro-Israeli policy.

The protestors had planned the protest precisely to disrupt President Biden’s interview. The protestors, including Schafer, were wearing shirts that bore slogans asking for an end to the hostilities.

Hunter Schafer’s Acting Career

Hunter Schafer made her famous acting debut with HBO’s hit series Euphoria in 2019, in which she essayed the role of Trans teen Jules Vaughn.

She also starred as Tigris Snow in “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” in 2023.

Hunter Schafer has modeled for a number of designer labels, which include Versus Versace, Maison Margiela, Tommy Hilfiger, etc.

Hunter Schafer has in the past been involved in several social causes.

She has very strong views on a number of subjects, which included her opposition to the anti-LGBT legislation HB2.

She was also listed by Teen Vogue as Hunter on its 21 Under 21 list in 2017.

She was also featured in the Time Next list of ‘100 emerging leaders who will shape the future.’

Other Prominent Personalities Who Protested Israeli Attack

Hollywood actor Susan Sarandon in November 2023 had spoken very strongly against the situation in Gaza at a pro-Palestine rally in New York.

The actor said,

“There are a lot of people that are afraid, that are afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country, so often subjected to violence.”

However, there was a backlash, and UTA, or United Talent Agency, one of Hollywood’s premier talent agencies, had dropped Susan from its client list.

Susan later issued an apology for her remarks in December 2023.
