Bus crashes into auto-rickshaw in Telangana, resulting in deaths of four women

Four women agriculture workers were tragically killed in a road accident on the Suryapet-Khammam highway in Telangana’s Suryapet district. The incident occurred when an auto-rickshaw carrying 15 laborers was hit by an RTC bus near an underpass, resulting in the death of four individuals and injuring twelve others.

The laborers, who hailed from Ramasamudram village of Munagala mandal, were en route to work in the fields in Burkacherla village of Mothey mandal when the accident took place. Three of the workers lost their lives on the spot, while one succumbed to injuries at Suryapet Area Hospital.

The deceased were identified as Nagamma (50), Narayanamma (55), Anasuyamma (70), and Sowbhagyamma. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the tragic incident.

Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and assured support to them. He also directed the authorities to ensure that the injured receive the best possible treatment in the wake of the accident.
